On January 14, 2023, the Valeem family came together with partners from IBA Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) to celebrate a major milestone: securing pre-seed funding from a US-based angel investor, valuing Valeem at a 7-figure valuation.

This achievement marked a powerful moment in Valeem’s mission to transform education through technology and to empower both students and teachers across Pakistan and beyond.

 Introductory Remarks

The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem.
During her welcome address, Ms. Lalarukh, Director of Aman CED, highlighted the center’s continued support for its incubatees and congratulated Valeem on its successful fundraising round. She emphasized the importance of investing in education-focused startups and the growing relevance of EdTech in Pakistan.

 Vision Shared by the Co-Founders

Mr. Ali Rehan, Co-founder of Valeem, shared the company’s vision of making education accessible and affordable for every student. He discussed how the rising acceptance of technology in Pakistan has opened the door for innovative solutions like Valeem.

He also announced the launch of the “Valeem Securing Futures” initiative — a program focused on offering affordable quality education to Pakistani students, regardless of their geography or financial background.

The fundraising will not only scale student services but also generate employment opportunities for teachers across Pakistan, enabling them to teach globally — from the comfort of their homes.

A Story of Grit and Growth

Mr. Muhammad Ghayas, Co-founder of Valeem, delivered a heartfelt reflection on Valeem’s journey — from a bootstrapped startup to a global EdTech platform serving students in 14 countries.

He spoke about the early challenges, the team’s relentless dedication, and how community trust helped Valeem become a bridge between teachers and learners around the world.

 Teacher Appreciation and Awards

Valeem’s co-founders took a moment to honor the educators who have been instrumental in the company’s success.
Awards and certificates were presented to top-performing tutors from 2022, recognizing their passion, performance, and role in shaping the future of online education.

 Networking & Community

The event concluded with a networking session over refreshments. Teachers, the Valeem team, and IBA CED members exchanged ideas, shared feedback, and discussed ways to further improve the platform. The session fostered valuable connections that continue to strengthen the Valeem community.
